View all answersHi. I'm Arianna and today, I'm going to show you how to get a cute, summer side braid a la Lauren Conrad. You always know when summer is right around the corner because Loren starts rocking that braid. I'm gonna show you an easier way to get that braid using the tips that I learned from Sarah Potempo, also a celebrity hairstylist. You will start with a side part and use two pieces of hair. What we're going to do is actually French braid the hair but using only two pieces. So, it's almost like a twist but you are adding more pieces as you go along so that the [unknown]. So, take your two pieces, crisscross them, add a little bit of hair, crisscross it again. More hair and you'll do this all the way until you're behind your ear. I love this style because it's great for keeping the hair off your face and you have like second or third day hair and you don't just want to rock a ponytail. Okay? Make sure you're around behind your ear. Take a black hair elastic and tie back. And you got that really cute side braid. What you can also do is if you have a few pieces or some baby hair that you need fixing, using a leave-in conditioner versus a hairspray is a great way to get that- To have control but do not make it crunchy. So, have a few sprits of that like that apply and you got it. Lauren Conrad. Thank you for watching realbeauty.com.
