Dark circles and bags under the eyes have plagued women forever. With our hectic lives, it just comes with the territory, but there is a solution. And we're going to show you how to deflate those bags and hide those circles. Here's how to get the look. The first step is prevention. Believe or not, bags can be prevented. Caffeine, salt, and alcohol can cause fluid build up and puffiness. Also, drinking more water can help prevent dark circles. Since that's often tough to avoid and your face is a little swollen when you wake up, apply ice or chilled spoons to your eyes. Aerobic exercise also helps drain fluid. Makeup will help hide dark circles. Start with a shimmer containing cream applied below the eyes to reflect light. Then used a yellow-based concealer one shade lighter than your skin tone. Apply this directly to the dark area. To apply evenly, use a concealer brush. An orange concealer looks really well if the dark circles are especially blue. If you don't have orange, mix a little red lipstick with your normal concealer. This will create a peach-colored shade. Stand back in the mirror and identify where the dark areas area. Be careful not to conceal areas that aren't dark or you'll get a raccoon look. Concentrate on the areas inside of the nose and directly underneath the inside of the eyes. Apply a thin layer of loose or pressed powder to set the concealer. If concealer isn't doing the trick, try drawing attention away from your eyes. Shift the focus to your eyelids. Apply a black eyeliner to te upper lash lines only then apply mascara to the upper lashes. Eye shadow with a little shimmer will add the finishing touch and brighten your whole face. Following these steps won't help you feel more rested, but they certainly will make you look like you are.
