I love eating outdoors in the summer time. I love going on picnics. It's one of the great luxuries that summer brings. So not only do I always remember to bring my sunscreen, but I also remember to pack foods that are easy to transport, taste great and have a lots of nutrients and are really healthy for you. I'm really proud to partner with Eucerin as a member of their Skin First Council, to be able to talk to people about putting the right food into your body to get the most of it. And that really includes your skin. So my favorite foods to pack on a picnic are first of all the sandwich. If there's a special art to making a sandwich to last through a picnic. You always wanna use a really hardy red whole grain on multigrain bread that will stand up if the sandwich has to be sitting for a little while before you eat it. Always make sure it includes lots of healthy food, crunchy vegetables with it. I love things like spinach or (??), tomatoes, avocado and then a little bit of goat cheese or even some (??) instead of mayonnaise or something that won't last. Along with the sandwich, I love berry salad and to just twist it up a little bit I always squeeze lots of lemon and fresh mint on top of my salad. Make sure to just pack it in a hard container, so that they can survive the transport and the berries don't get squished. Another thing I love to take with me which is an easy and really healthy snack when I'm doing picnic is nuts and dried fruit. They're really good for you, high in protein of course easy to transport and a really great snack. No matter if you're going for a hike or for just going to a leisurely stroll in the park. And finally my favorite drink when I'm on a picnic is green tea lemonade. Half and half is the perfect right summer treat. A little bit of honey to make it all a little bit sweeter is all you need for the perfect picnic. I hope you enjoyed my tips. Have a great summer.
