Hi. I'm Stephanie Vitorino and I'm gonna give you the stretch that's gonna open up your hips. Now, a lot of us, we sit at our desk all day. We're always flexing at the waist and really tightening up those hip flexers whether you ride bikes regularly or sit at a desk. This is a great stretch to open up the hips. So, we're gonna start in a seated position. Sit up nice and tall, place 1 foot in front of the other. From here, walk slowly forward 1 hand at a time and I want you to stop wherever you feel that nice stretch. So, you shouldn't feel any pain when you're stretching. It should feel really good. If you can go a little further, walk the hands out. There should be no straining involved here. This should feel good and is into that hip, the side of your front leg. So, if your right leg is forward, you're feeling it in sort of side of the right hip. Give me one more inhale. On your next exhale, slowly walk it back in and up. Ah, that feels so great. Let's try the other side. Bring your front leg in. Take the opposite leg forward this time. From here, gently walk forward but don't let those gluts come off the floor. You want to press the tail bone down towards the floor. You want to keep the back nice and straight, okay? Can you go a little bit further? Use your breath. When you're stretching, it's really important to use your breath. Slowly breathe in to the stretch. Feel your tail bone, kind of, firmly down into the floor. On your next breath, exhale, walk it straight up. Great. Ah. I feel it open already. Join me next time on Exercise TV on Stephanie Vitorino. See you next time.
