Hey, I'm Andrea from Real Beauty. And, today, I'm at Salon AKS in New York City doing amazing fall hair makeovers. This is Sarah. Hey, Sarah.

Hey, Andrea.

So, tell me a little bit about your hair story.

It was about three years ago. I cut it short, did not like it at all. It did not work for me.

Were there tears?

Maybe a few tears, and I'm loving the length and so I don't wanna lose a lot of it. My mom would be absolutely heartbroken.

Oh, god. Well, we don't wanna break your mom's heart, but we definitely wanna update your look and maybe brighten up your color. Does that sound good?

All right. Let's get you started.

Hi. Sarah, I'm Susana. I maybe cutting your hair today. Tell me something about your hair.

Well, it's not necessarily sick but I have a lot of it.

What I think your hair can handle are some layers. What they're gonna do is create a lot more movement around your face.

Hi, Sarah. Kathleen. Nice to meet you. Your natural hair color is beautiful. I don't wanna make you too all-over blonde. I'd like to just add some highlights because your skin tone is very yellow. I'd also like to incorporate some auburn that would give the blonde something to reflect off of making the blonde brighter.

Wow! Sarah, I'm loving your hair. What do you think?

I'm loving it, too. I didn't know quite what's next because this is- this is great.

OK. Let's start with the color. It's definitely brighter and what I love is it has this cool auburn highlight.

Uh-huh.

It gives it a glossy dimension. It makes the blonde pop.

Right. There's a lot of contrast which I didn't have before.

Makes your eyes look bluer. You were the one who was like my mom is gonna be heartbroken if I cut it but we cut it.

We cut it and it [unknown].
