Hey. I'm Andrea from Real Beauty. And today, I'm at Salon AKS in New York City doing amazing fall hair makeovers. This is Molly. Hey, Molly.

So, let's talk your hair history. I wanna know about this beautiful brown mane of yours.

I've been keeping it long and dying it a little darker for the past 2 years or so.

Okay. So pretty much natural, haven't gone--

Yeah.

too far but only darker.

Right.

Have you ever got lighter?

No. It's always on [unknown].

You have?

Yeah.

So you would let us do it today maybe?

Absolutely.

All right, very cool. Now, you said you always keep it long,

Yes.

it looks like it kinda got like a major haircut.

Maybe like a year ago.

A year ago. I think we're gonna have to change that thing, you open to that?

Yeah.

Hi, Molly. I'm Susanna.

Hi. Nice to meet you.

I'm gonna be cutting your hair today. Tell me one thing about your hair.

I really love my long hair.

Okay. Well, I love long hair too but it's gotta look current, and it has to look like it has more movement. Right now, your hair is just kind of wearing you. What we wanna do is accentuate your eyes, your face to give you more movement, layers, and make it look a little bit more tousled and not just hanging there. Okay?

Yeah.

And then Kathleen is gonna color it for you.

Hi.

Hi, Molly. Kathleen. Nice to meet you. I think you have beautiful natural hair color, you've got beautiful blue eyes. I actually would just like these natural highlights that you have at the end of your hair, these beautiful like toffee colors and some cinnamon color. I'd like to add a bunch of those into your hair up at the top so that it looks brighter and when Susanna does the layers and the framing, it will help accentuate the beautiful haircut that she's gonna give you.

And it will just like make your hair not so solid and also the color will give it more movement. Ready?

All right. Let's talk about the color a little bit. We've actually lightened you up a little bit like around your face.

Yeah.

Some toffee, some caramel highlights which is so pretty for fall. It's warm, it makes your skin glow, your eyes are like shining, sparkling, I really like it. the length though is a big change.

Yeah.

You have that long hair,

Yeah.

and we like updated it for fall. What are you thinking about that? Were you scared?

Yeah, I was scared. My long hair is like my security blanket but I love having it at the shoulder with the big curls, it's fun.
