Dove Ultimate Go Sleeveless Anti-Perspirant Deodorant
The Claim: This moisturizing blend is packed with vitamins E and F and promises to soften skin in five days flatmeaning fewer bumps and prettier underarms.
The Truth: Our tester noticed that the texture of her skin looked less wrinkly after one week, but was inclined to reapply after working out, whether she needed to or not on account of the super-silky texture. "I think I just had it ingrained in my mind that my armpits had to feel desert-dry, which might be wrong," she added. "But I'd definitely recommend this to someone who's insecure about the appearance of her underarms because mine now have an airbrushed-quality to them."

Tom's of Maine Natural 24 Hour Long Lasting Deodorant
The Claim: The eco-minded peeps at Tom's created this deodorant without aluminum (a controversial ingredient) and with the promise of day-long protection. They used hops to kill bacteria and prevent stinky smells and zinc salts to absorb any sneaky, lingering odors.
The Truth: Our tester loved the fresh, non-chemical scent of essential oils and the gel-like finish of this deodorant. But, less of a criticism and more of a fact, she found that while she didn't emit any funky B.O., she still sweated since this is not an anti-perspirant.

Kiehl's Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant Cream
The Claim: A beauty staple in its own right, this tube of sweat- and odor-fighting cream is infused with orange- and linseed extracts to sooth skin all day long.
The Truth: While it took our tester a moment to get accustomed to the application process of a lotion versus a roll-on or stick, she loved the feel of this long-lasting, sheer cream. It dried quickly and worked until bedtime. She even applied it to her hands when she wanted to prevent sweaty palms before a stressful work meeting. (Editor's Note: Per the packaging, Kiehl's does not endorse using this product anywhere except for the underarms.)

Fresh Sugar Roll-On Deodorant & Anti-Perspirant
The Claim: Packed with natural sugar to cut down on the growth of bacteria (this ultimately leads to unpleasant odors), this roll-on promises a sweetly-sophisticated whiff, courtesy of lemongrass extracts.
The Truth: Unlike some other deodorants that can irritate skin after shaving (they are mostly alcohol-based), this witch hazel formula glides over nicks and scratches without severe stinging. "Plus, the packaging and the scent made me feel like the ultimate girly-girl when I used it," noted our tester.

Degree Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant with MotionSense
The Claim: Made for serious sweaters, this heavy-duty deodorant uses prescription strength quantities of sweat-blockers to prevent wetness. The formula is also backed up with a proprietary blend of ingredients that are activated by friction, meaning the more you move, the harder the deodorant works.
The Truth: Our tester (who borrows her boyfriend's deodorant when she needs extra protection), loved the endurance of this stick. In fact, it was so effective that she said she would get an extra one to keep in her gym bag at all times.
$8.56; amazon.com
Clean Original Moisture-Absorbent Deodorant
The Claim: From the makers of the perfume line that popularized sweetly-simple smells, like fresh laundry, comes this aluminum-free deodorant that uses cotton-derived technology to wick away underarm moisture.
The Truth: First and foremost, our tester loved this T-shirt-inspired scent over other in-your-face floral fragrances on the market. As for efficacy, she said the deodorant (antiperspirants are deemed drugs by the FDA and involve more extensive testing), gave her more than enough coverage to confidently go from 9-to-5 without worrying about stains or smells.

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant/Anti-Perspirant
The Claim: Infused with notes of suede, sandal wood, and patchouli, this cult fave perfume-turned-deodorant is triggered towards women who require more than just sweat- and odor-protectionthey demand a signature scent, too.
The Truth: "I'd wear this to a fancy party or my wedding," said our tester. As the name implies, this formula went on smoothly and had a touch of glamour, thanks to the hints of amber and musk. While she loved the end result, she felt guilty about spending more than $10 on a deodorant, until she noticed that a little bit of this luxe stick goes a long way.

Weleda Wild Rose Deodorant
The Claim: This light blend of organic rose leaf extracts has detoxifying properties to neutralize sweaty smells. Plus, the non-aerosol spray is said to be gentle enough to use all over your bod.
The Truth: Like a more-mature take on the body sprays of our youth, this eco-friendly deodorant did keep our tester feeling fresh throughout her day. "If anything, I wished that it would have provided more sweat protection, but it was more important to me to use a totally organic formula," she added.

Secret Natural Mineral Antiperspirant Deodorant
The Claim: Unlike other blends, this new deodorant relies on calcium carbonate (instead of extra aluminum) to do some of the heavy-lifting when it comes to stopping wetness.
The Truth: "Immediately, I liked that this came in an unscented version," said our tester." After using it, I was pleasantly surprised that the white residue disappeared on my skin and that it allowed me some of the benefits of using a natural product without sacrificing on sweat protection."

The Truth: "I definitely noticed a difference in hair texture," stated our self-proclaimed hairy tester. "It seemed like I had less hair, or at least less coarse hair, growing in after I shaved." When asked if she'd use it again, she said she'd definitely splurge on a bottle for the summer months.
