Expert Bio: Jennifer Yen

Jennifer Yen was a successful working actress living in Los Angeles when she noticed her skin was breaking out and becoming easily irritated after hours in makeup and under hot lights. She started looking for products that would help improve her skin's condition. Unfortunately, most of the products she found contained dyes, synthetic fragrances, parabens and allergens which made her skin even worse.

Yen's search for natural, pure and effective skincare products was repeatedly fruitless. As a result, she decided to create her own line and enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where she took classes in beauty marketing, chemistry and entrepreneurship. While still in school, Yen met a leading dermatological chemist who helped her create what is now known as pur~lisse.

Today, Yen is hard at work spearheading the growth of her new skincare brand as she is committed to providing consumers with products that promote long-term healthy, beautifully radiant skin.

Pur~lisse has been featured in magazines such as Elle, In Style, Lucky, Town & Country, Redbook, Fitness, and more! Yen is a graduate of Boston University where she majored in business and marketing. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
