How can I avoid calluses from forming on the bottom of my feet?
Calluses are the result of the skin trying to protect itself. In order to avoid them, use more padding (like thicker socks), or don't stress your skin as much. If you notice a callus, try to pare it down or use a pumice stone so that it goes away before it takes on a life of its own. Padding the callus-prone area may also reduce stress on the skin.
