Willow Smith Whips Her Hair

Look at this little, pint-sized ball of fierceness! Who is she, you might be wondering? She would be Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and frankly, she is fabulous. When is the last time you saw a 9 year old dressed in a red leather jacket and a stegosaurus-inspired high ponytail? That's what we thought.
Little Smith just released her official video for her debut single "Whip My Hair," and being a beauty site that loves all things hair, we of course cannot stop listening to this song. Aside from the fact that we wish our hair could shoot out neon paint like Willow's does in the video, there are some very important things to take away from this snazzy tune:
"Pay no attention to them haters, we whip them off." Very valid. If you like having a Rihanna haircut (present company guilty for many years until recently) and your friends aren't crazy about it, so what? It's your hair, get a style that you want to see in the mirror every morning.
"Don't matter if it's long, short whip your hair." Maybe Willow's meaning is a little more literal, but we take this as hair is beautiful no matter what length, color, or style it comes in. That's the great thing about it the possibilities are endless. See for yourself with our Instant Hair Makeover tool.
If you're having a bad day, we suggest listening to this song behind closed doors and doing just what Willow tells you to do, whip your hair. Just saying, it worked for us.
Check out the video below. When I was her age I collected Lip Smackers. Clearly, we are on different paths.
