Be Your Own Bombshell: How to Get the Hair at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Even though we already attended the taping of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show a few weeks ago, that didn't stop us from tuning in to see it again last night. It's part of our holiday tradition to gawk at those ridiculous abs every year, not to mention the wings (how those little bodies hold up those enormous wings will always remain a mystery to us).
We might not know the science to trucking it down a runway with huge peacock feathers on your back but what we do know is how to get your hair as bouncy as the Bombshells. Rebekah Forecast, stylist at Sally Hershberger Downtown and the stylist for the Victoria's Secret photo shoots shares how you can get your sexiest hair ever with these tips:
The Night Before
In the morning, shampoo and condition your hair using a quality product to fit your hair type. Rough blow-dry or let your hair air dry, depending on your hair's natural movement. Flip your head over and secure hair high on head. Twist hair around to create a top knot, securing with large open pins. This will create extra volume for your hair during the day.
To Style
At the end of the day, take your hair down out of the top knot and shake out. Apply a firm volumizer, focusing on the roots only (she loves Sally Hershberger Supreme Lift). Rough blow-dry the hair with your head flipped over to create maximum root lift. Apply a dry shampoo on your whole head, like T3 Orlando Pita 360 Refresh Dry Shampoo. Separate hair into four sections, two in front and two in the back, and begin curling hair one section at a time. With a large 1 1/2" curling iron, make sure that the barrel of the iron is at a vertical angle to the head and curl the hair away from your face. Start from the root, positioning the iron a safe distance from your head, and twirl the hair around the iron. Leave the ends out of the iron for a more natural look. Once you have curled each section, gently run your fingertips through curls and finish with hairspray.
Another tip Forecast always does to do the model's hair? Extensions! She recommends picking up some clip-in extensions from a local wig shop and taking them to your stylist so they can cut and color them to match your hair. Opt for human hair extensions this way, you can style as normal and curl or flat-iron without them melting.
