Trend Alert: The Natural, No Makeup Look
"Cool and effortless." Those are the two words Bobbi Brown makeup artist Kimberly Soane used to describe the makeup look for the Tibi show backstage to us. "We wanted the girls to have a no makeup look, so we kept it simple with a soft, taupe smoky eye defined with loads of mascara and no eyeliner. We gave them a matte nude lip and nude cheeks to keep the focus on their flawless skin."
steer clear from powder formulas, as they make the skin look even more dry and cracked.

As for the hair, we have to pass on these words of beauty wisdom Kevin Ryan for RSession Tools shared with us. To flow with the natural makeup, the hair for Tibi was inspired by "the model between shows," as Ryan told us. To do this, he worked with the product already in the model's hair from previous shows while using a touch of TIGI Your Highness Root Boost (if needed), and created a textured, wrap-around ponytail. To get the perfect wrap, Ryan used a forcep (which you can buy for less than $3 online). He took a piece of hair from the ponytail, wrapped it around a clear elastic, and then pushed the forcep through the ponytail to grab the piece of hair and secure it in place. You can also use forceps to curl back tendrils away from your face - who knew a surgical tool could double as a beauty necessity! Take a look at the final style below.
