5 Tips We Learned at Tibi
1. You can wear white in the winter.
Dashing Diva painted the models' paws with an opaque white shade called NYC Fleet Week.
2. It takes two elastics to create one superb bun.
Kevin Ryan for Aveda explains his creation: "This is for cool, individual girls who have hit that 5:00 p.m. moment when their hair has collapsed, and they pull it back into a functional, messy bun." To execute this style, he tied tresses into a low ponytail, placing one elastic at the base and another three inches from the end, using the bottom hair tie as an anchor to make a loop.
3. Stealing your boyfriend's hair gunk is a do!
Ryan used Aveda Men Pure-Formance Grooming Clay to add some grit to the hairstyle. He pulled pieces loose around the models' faces and touched them up with the formula. "The hair looks like it's falling apart, but it won't," he says. "Style it well, then pull it apart.
4. Pencils are your best brow tools.
"The Tibi collection is inspired by The Beatles era with a '90s twist, so we went with bold brows," explains Kim Soan for Bobbi Brown. "The best approach is to use a powder instead of a pencil, because [using the latter] can look stenciled."
5. We can't wait to get our hands on Bobbi Brown's latest blush.
To create a wind-burnt cheek, Soan relied on Bobbi Brown's new-for-fall creamy, liquid cheek and lip color. "It can be pressed on to give a super dewy finish."
