Tell Us: Is It OK to Eat on the Bus or Train?

New Yorkers certainly have an opinion on the matter. Today, a viral video is making the rounds, where two women lock horns over this very etiquette question.
It all started when one straphanger started eating spaghetti on the subway. Suffice it to say, a fellow passenger did not agree with her meal of choiceand pandemonium ensued.
What do you think? Is it OK to eat while riding public transportation? Is time of day a factor? (Rush hour is tough enough anyway.) Or does it matter what type of food is consumed? (Spaghetti is much more labor intensive to ingest than, say, a Luna bar.) We want to know. In the meantime, we'll be carbo-loading before riding the rails home tonight.
