Fashion Week is here, friends! I love you so much I am willing to brave it all backstage amongst the glamorous models and swarms of photographers to give you the hottest and latest hair and makeup trends we'll be seeing on the runway first, and on your head and face just a season later.

To kick off the week of shows in Bryant Park's last Fashion Week ever was BCBGMAXAZRIA. Before the ladies strutted their stuff down the runway, I snuck backstage to chat with Sarah Lucero, makeup artist for Stila.

Lucero was aiming for a classic beauty look (think Brigitte Bardot), with dramatic eyes and nude lips. To get this look, she started off with Stila One Step Makeup Foundation to prime the face and give skin a velvety, glowing look. For the eyes, she applied an Eye Shadow Pan in Chinois over the lids as a base and Puppy (a matte, warm taupe shade) to the crease of the eyes and lower lash line in an upward motion, which created a reverse cat eye look. For the lips, Long Wear Lip Color In the Nude gave the girls a sultry pout that was matched perfectly with their sculptured eyebrows.

"I think we'll definitely start to seeing more darker structures when it comes to makeup," Lucero said. "You can expect lots of chocolate browns, structured eyebrows, and a very French-inspired look to start popping up more and more."
