ScarJo's Pretty Purple Lids

The Tony Awards may not get the attention the Grammy Awards or the Golden Globes do, but it doesn't take a theater buff to know that winning one is a huge deal. That's why all the stars, from Will Smith and his gorgeous wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, to Paula Abdul and Lucy Liu showed up. We know we certainly can't dance, tap, twirl, and sing our hearts out on stage for three hours.
Winning the Tony for Best Actress in a Play for her work in A View from the Bridge was none other than Hollywoods leading blonde, Scarlett Johansson. She looked absolutely stunning in her emerald floor-length gown, but what we loved about her look was her hazy, purple eye that contrasted with the dress. Makeup artist Gianpaolo Ceciliato helped ScarJo get her romantic look with Dolce&Gabbana The Makeup.
Ceciliato first lined Johansson's inner and outer lids with The Eyeliner in Dahlia. Next, he blended the purple shadow from The Eyeshadow Duo in Dazzling and the pink shadow from The Eyeshadow Duo in Guilty. To complete the look, Ceciliato applied several coats of The Mascara in black on the top and bottom lashes. To bring out the smoky eye, Ceciliato kept the rest of the face natural by applying a bit of The Blush in Provocative on the upper portion of Johansson's cheeks and The Classic Lipstick in Nude on her lips.
Think lining the inner side of your lids is only for the pros? Think again! Check out senior editor Andrea's tips to lining your inner lid and why you should try it for your next night out. (Hint: It makes you wear less makeup!)
