I'm fairly certain I've expressed this before, but I love me some Rihanna. Though I am now growing my hair out, I used to plead with stylists to chop my hair like hers, believing that I too would be transformed into a Barbadian beauty (my stylist, being the good person she is, firmly told me no). It's true: Not everyone can pull off her look, just as not everyone can wear lobster claw shoes like Lady Gaga, but we love to ogle them regardless.

After saying this, it brings me much pain to say that Rihanna may have gone one step too far with her latest 'do at a music festival in Spain. The half-shaved head is one thing, the red hair another. Perhaps if she picked one she could pull it off, but both? Too much. We get it: You're edgy, and you can wear cones on your boobs and still look good. And though we appreciate the matching red lipstick, it's perfectly fine to tone it down a little. Below, some looks we think Rihanna could pull off. Perhaps she'll hear our hair cries and start growing this ridiculous cut out for one of these instead:

A platinum blonde pixie cut — think Gwen Stefani meets Carey Mulligan.

Blunt bangs — à la Katy Perry.

Tons 'o volume — taken from the notes of Beyoncé. There's nothing like a hair makeover to take you from short and sleek to big and beautiful!

Really, anything, including shaving her entire head, would be better than this look. We love you, Rihanna, and we just want the best for you.
