On my unfortunately sweltering Saturday afternoon, I got to go behind-the-scenes at the Rebecca Taylor show to get the low-down on the hair'spiration (that's hair and inspiration all in one word, try it out) and makeup look.

Kevin, from Aveda said the hairstyle was to resemble "an effortless road trip." So, he added a volumizing tonic and created some bends in the hair to make it look like each model was driving down the road with the wind in their hair (although, I must admit there's no way my hair would look that good if I were on a road trip).

The erratic nature, captured by Kevin's hairstyle, was paired with a beach-y, wind-swept, makeup look. Every color had a soft-sand feel, with cream colored lips and a sandy cheekbone flush that made the model's skin glow.

All I know is if I ever look that good on a beach or in the car, I’ll be thanking my lucky stars, or maybe Rebecca Taylor.
