Trend Alert: Parisian Makeup at Rebecca Taylor

There always seems to be two ends of the spectrum when it comes to makeup trends at Fashion Week. You get the natural, minimal approach to makeup and then you get the bold and dramatic. At Rebecca Taylor, the latter was the case when it came to the models look, as makeup artist for MAC Sil Bruinsma told us he was going for a '70s, Parisian feel.
"We really focused on sexy, luminous skin, sculpted cheeks, and rosy blush," Bruinsma said. "For the eyes we used a slade color, some light mascara, and a deep burgundy lip with a tinted gloss over top."
One secret Bruinsma shared with us backstage? The trick to a bright, white smile is actually in your lip hue. Choose a color with blue undertones to really make your pearly whites stand out (he used MAC Pro Lipmix in Burgundy with a coat of Lipglass in Looks Like Sin on top).
