Rachel Weisz's Lovely Look for The Lovely Bones
I can't say that I will definitely be buying a ticket to see The Lovely Bones, as the book alone gave me nightmares for weeks. A young girl being brutally raped, forced to watch her family try to continue life without her? If that doesnt spread immediate Christmas cheer then I dont know what will.
Regardless of if I make it to the theater this weekend to see Rachel Weisz and Mark Wahlberg (I'll admit, Marky Mark may be the straw that gets me in that seat), Weisz was spotted at the premiere earlier this week in a refreshing red carpet look. Celebrity Makeup Artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua worked with Weisz for the premiere and shared her tips to get this look.
Her lips: "I was inspired by the color of Rachel's dress which was calling out for a perfectly red lip! I chose the semi-matte CHANEL Rouge Allure Laque in Dragon. I love this shade because it is a very pigmented blue true red, perfect with Rachel's fair skin, and can be worn very sheer yet give vivid color."
Her eyes: "I wanted shimmery soft eyes to be tonal with the color of the dress so as not to compete with the lips. CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Murano has the most beautiful greenish-gray shimmers that accent Rachel's dark hair and brown eyes. CHANEL Blush Duo Tweed Effect in Tweed Rose gives her a soft hint of color in the apples of her cheeks. Finally, CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir-Black opens up her eyes by lengthening and separating her already thick lashes without any clumps."
