Can This Anti-Aging Product Work Miracles?
What it is: Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Retinoid Pads
Why we love it: Naming a skin-care product "Miracle Worker" is the beauty equivalent of naming a baby "Gandhi." No expectations to be hugely successful or anything. Call us pessimists, but when Philosophy debuted its latest anti-aging product with the aforementioned "the pressure is on" name, we were prepared for a bit of a letdown. The brand claims that in just four weeks you'll notice "visible results in discoloration and dullness" and in eight weeks you'll get "significant improvement in the appearance of wrinkles and pore size." Sounds too good to be true, right? For a month we've been swiping the retinoid pads on every evening and so far we don't have the pore-free, flawless skin of a genetically blessed supermodel, but we're extremely pleased by how smooth and clear our complexion looks. Plus, we've yet to experience any of the irritation commonly associated with traditional retinols. So while we're not quite ready to sing "I Believe in Miracles," we're definitely feeling more optimistic these days.
Where to get it: Sephora and philosophy.com
How much: $70 for 60 pads
