Paula Abdul has been a staple in the entertainment industry for decades—a true triple threat. I mean, what would childhood have been like without her Spellbound album? From music to dance to acting, Abdul has done it all. In her latest endeavor, she teamed up with Avon to curate a holiday jewelry line, Forever Selected by Paula Abdul.

The collection, featuring glitzy earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and watches all hand-picked by Abdul, will be available at avon.com mid-November. In the meantime, we caught up with tiny starlet to get the low-down on these fabulous sparklers:

RealBeauty: What made you decide to do a holiday collection?
Paula Abdul: Actually, it was Avon's decision. They approached me and said that they wanted to do something fun and exciting with their holiday jewelry. While I didn’t design the pieces, I worked closely with Avon in selecting what would be included. It was such a great experience!

RB: What was the inspiration for the collection?
PA: I let my love of the festive color and sparkle of the holidays guide me in choosing each piece. I love that I was invited to be a part of the Avon family. They know I'm passionate about jewelry and fashion, period.

RB: Is there a vision you share with the Avon organization that made you want to partner with them?
PA: I believe in having a strong vision, a powerful mission, and pursuing big dreams. Since its inception, Avon has been boldly planting a big vision into the collective hearts of women. I've always believed that every woman is a CEO, and Avon clearly shares this vision with me. They've been avid supporters of the empowerment of women long before it was 'in.'

I also love their mission statement: 'We will be a committed global champion for the health and well-being of women through philanthropic efforts that eliminate breast cancer from the face of the earth.' That's the passion I fell in love with, and can personally relate to. I have a family member very near and dear to me who is a breast cancer survivor! Also, awhile ago I heard about this huge fitness event called Bust a Move, that raises funds for breast cancer every year. I called them and said, 'Hey! This is awesome! I want to participate!' Obviously, it was a no-brainer for me to partner with a great company like Avon—we share in that wonderful vision of eliminating breast cancer.

RB: What do you love about jewelry?
PA: I feel blessed that Avon wanted to work with me, knowing what a great passion I have for jewelry. I love the wide variety of stones and metals. I can’t help but get creative and come up with ideas on how I want it to look and how I want to wear it. I can keep it simple and subtle, or go for something more ornate.

RB:Which is your favorite piece in the Forever Selected by Paula Abdul collection?

PA: Shimmer Bead Convertible Necklace

RB: What kind of women was this collection designed with in mind?
PA: Avon has always encouraged the kindling of a woman's entrepreneurial spirit and I helped select pieces that embodied this. I have to say, what I really love about Avon is their relationship with their customers. That kind of connection is what makes Avon so special, and such a successful company.
