I bet you thought I forgot all about Paris Hilton's mug shot this weekend with the influx of Emmy goodness that we've been dealing with, didn't you? Worry not, a beauty editor never forgets. The moment I heard about Paris Hilton getting arrested (again), my immediate thought was what the mug shot would look like.

Now, let's clarify. I don't condone any celebrity behavior that ends up in the pound, but this shot is proof that Paris has had some practice when it comes to perfecting her jail pose. Mug shots give everyone a disadvantage, with the horrible lighting, the dead-on angle that doesn't accentuate your features, and the fact that most of them are taken past 3 a.m. when your makeup is dripping off your face and your hair is a ratty mess. But Paris has defied the laws of every one of these hurdles, because this is probably the best mug someone could ever take.

Her hair is flawless in adorable side braids (thanks to an afternoon of pampering at Michael Boychuck's COLOR Salon at Caesar's Palace prior to her cuffing), her makeup hasn't smudged a bit, and she's even found her flattering angle! That takes some serious posing talent.

We learned from Cosmo's photo director, Jennifer Miller, in our Ultimate Photo Challenge, the biggest no-no when it comes to taking a picture. "Never stand fully facing the camera," she told us. Instead, it's best to turn your body three quarters to make yourself look thinner and more natural. For this we must say: Bravo on your posing perfection, Paris.
