Miss Sweden for Miss Universe!
Tonight, Miss Universe will be crowned in Las Vegas, Nevada, and contestant Hanni Beronius is excited to compete! Beronius was crowned Miss Sweden 2012 back in August, and has been travelling ever since. We caught up with this lovely lady to hear all about her latest adventures, pageant experiences, and recent collaboration with Swedish beauty brand, Face Stockholm.
Real Beauty: What does winning Miss Sweden mean to you?
Hanni Beronius: I look at it as a great responsibility. I get to travel, and see so much of the world, but I also get to be a role model for girls everywhere. The whole process of becoming Miss Sweden went by so fast. I was nominated by friends and co-workers, and I still cant believe I actually won!
RB: What was your pageant experience like? Were the other contestants catty and overly competitive?
HB: Actually, all of the girls were very sweet. We all got along, and many of them looked up to me. I actually won Miss Congeniality, and that meant just as much to me as winning the whole competition.
RB: Tell us a little bit about Face Stockholm. How does this brand stand apart from so many other cosmetic brands?
HB:: I just finished a photo shoot for their campaign here in New York! I feel connected with this brand because it is a Swedish company. They have so many great products. I especially love their skin care line. Its important for me to stay healthy and take care of my skin, especially when Im on stage or having my picture taken. I use a lot of their products, and I love their moisturizer. I also think the Face Stockholm glitters are the most fun to wear. They look great on stage.
RB: Are you excited to compete for Miss Universe? Is this something youve been dreaming of for years and years?
HB: Im very excited and very honored, but this was never something I had dreamed of doing. Like I said, I was nominated for Miss Sweden, I didnt choose it myself. I was never a little pageant girl. I actually think people in America would think Im a nerd. I love reading books! I never thought I would be here now getting ready to compete for Miss Universe. Im just going to stay healthy and be confident in myself.Miss Universe will be crowned tonight in Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Hotel tonight at 8pm EST on NBC. Make sure to tune in and support the sweet and beautiful Miss Sweden!
