Met Ball 2011 Shopping List: Get the Look

5/3/2011 3:01:00 PM by Colleen Moody

gisele bundchen

Love one of the many looks from the Met Ball red carpet? Take a look below as we put together a shopping list for you on the actual products the celebs used last night.

Gisele Bündchen's Polished Strands

John Frieda Consultant Harry Josh styled Bündchen using Old Hollywood waves as an inspiration. "I wanted to go for a sleek, sophisticated style for Gisele this year," Josh said. "The Met Ball is fashion's biggest night and I thought this was the perfect look to complement the evening." To get the look, Josh curled Bündchen's hair and brushed it out to create a soft and sleek wave throughout. He used John Frieda Full Repair Touch-Up Flyaway Tamer to smooth flyaways for a red carpet look that would last all night.

Jessica Alba's Shimmery Shadow

Mom-to-be Alba's shiny shadow perked up her eyes, without being too harsh. To get a similar look, focus on the inner corners of your eyes for a wide awake look (even if you're faking it).

Product to Buy: Revlon CustomEyes Eyeshadow in Naturally Glamorous

Kirsten Dunst's Rose Lips

Clarins celebrity artist Pati Dubroff created Dunst's romantic look and wanted to reflect the gem tones on her dress in her makeup. To do this she made sure to use opal and lavender tones on the eyes while complementing the lips with a rosy hue.

Product to Buy: Clarins Rouge Prodige in Lilac Pink

Penelope Cruz's Subtle Smoky Eye

Cruz's smoky eye was created by Lancôme makeup artist Matthew Van Leeuwen and was the focal point of her makeup. He made her eyes pop by keeping the lips muted and skin clear and fresh.

Products to Buy: Lancôme Color Design Eye Brightening All-In-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette and Lancome Color Design Eye Shadow in It List

Gwyneth Paltrow's Waves

Celebrity hairstylist David Babaii for Couture Colour wanted to achieve a soft, beachy waves for Paltrow, much different for her usual sleek and straight style. Switching between a two-inch curling iron and a one-inch curling iron, he continuously wrapped and released each strand, very quickly and then pulling on the ends to create more of a wave than a full curl. He topped the look off with Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to smooth hair and prevent flyaways.

Emma Stone's Hot Pink Pout

NARS makeup artist Rachel Goodwin made Stone's lips pop with a bright, matte pink that she's been loving lately. To get a bright lip color like this to stay, use a lip scrub to exfoliate dead skin off your pucker so the color goes on smoothly.

Products to Buy: Carthage Pure Matte Lipstick

Leelee Sobieski's Textured Bun

To give a Grecian feel to this updo, Marie Robinson stylist Tommy Buckett used a clipless curling iron to curl pieces of the hair, sprayed with a texturizing spray, then placed the bun high on her head to show off her cheekbones.

Products to Buy: Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

Salma Hayek's Gold and Glitzy Eyes

CoverGirl makeup artist Kristofer Buckle used peach and gold shadows to add heat to her brown eyes. She matched this with a peachy color on her cheeks to give her an all over ethereal glow.

Products to Buy: CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Eye Brightening Shadow, Vibrant Browns
