A good smoky eye and red lip are becoming staples for the fall, but thanks to Lottie, Make Up Forever Alliance team member, I was pleased to see a new look giving the classic sultry eye a run for its money – jewel tones. Models backstage at Thuy had shimmering lids in pale yellows and golds, a perfect way to stand out in a crowd of dark lids.

To get this look, Lottie first applied HD Invisible Cover Foundation to even out the complexion. Next, she created a contour on the cheeks using Mat Bronze #2, and then applied more bronzer high on the apple of the cheeks. The look was set with Super Matte Loose Powder #12 on the t-zone.

For the eyes, Star Powder #920 was applied to the entire eye area starting at the lid and extending beyond the brow and temple to give it a shimmering gold look. Pan Cake Foundation #3 (you can also try Pan Stick) was then applied to the temples to illuminate the skin. The eyes were finished with Smoky Lash Mascara on both the top and bottom lashes. To get the lips blood stained red, Lottie mixed Flash Color #1 with a hint of Flash Color #17.
