Kristen Stewart's Edgy Smoky Eye
We live for Twilight in this office (Was that us you saw at the midnight viewing of New Moon? Probably), but truth be told, Kristen Stewart doesn't come off as a glamazon on or off the screen in the few red carpet appearances we've seen her on.
At the Oscars, however, we were quite pleased with Kristen's look. It appeared she was wearing a gown with no holes, she wasn't sporting a mullet, and she didn't have the ever-feared Sharpie eyes that give us goose bumps. Instead, though still somewhat awkward (and not just her poor Taylor Lautner looked like he wanted to curl up in the fetal position and start sucking his thumb), her fresh makeup look was edgy, without the grunge.
That is exactly what Avon's Global Creative Color Director, Jillian Dempsey, was going for. "We gave Kristen an edgy glam look, with a clean, youthful feeling. We played up her eyes with heavy liner and lots of lush mascara. Her eye shadow was a shimmering, midnight quartz, complemented by peach lips." To get this look Dempsey used her Jillian Dempsey for Avon Kohl Eyeliner in Black (we like a gal who has faith in her products. If it snags us a McDreamy, we'll by the whole supply), DiorShow Mascara in Blackout, and Avon True Color Eyeshadow in Midnight Plum. For her cheeks, she used Shu Uemura Blush in Peach 45, Benefit "That Gal" Brightening Face Primer, and Armani Silk Luminous Foundation. To finish the look off at the lips, she used the brand-new Jillian Dempsey for Avon Professional Multi-Pencil in Twice as Nice.
We think this look is a win. We also wonder what RPattz had to say about it...
