I'm Officially a Keratin Convert

It's great being a beauty editor: I get a first look at new makeup, hair products, fragrances, you name it. It's all pretty amazing and fun, but every once in awhile something comes along that is truly life-changing. That's a big statement I know. And not to get all dramatic or anything, but you know how it is when you find something that just workssometimes it can be, well, life-changing.
I have been hearing about keratin treatments for a long time now and seeing before and after photos like the one above. As a frizzy-haired girl in the no man's land between waves and actual curls, I knew I would be a good candidate for the smoothing procedure. But it just seemed like a big commitment, aesthetically and financially. I mean, I didn't know how it would turn out and if it would be worth my hard-earned dollars. And I had been dealing with that extra layer of frizz on top of my head for many years nowalmost to the point of acceptance. Almost.
But things have changed: For the last month, since I went for it and got the Keratin Complex Express Blowout at the Warren Tricomi Salon at the Plaza in NYC, I have been living a frizz-free lifeand I'm not going back. My hair is smooth, sleek, and manageable, but still has the waves and body that I was scared might disappear. It's a like living in a constant good hair dayand we all know the power of that.
The über chic salon (with the sweetest staff and most amazing decor) offers two Keratin Complex treatments: the Express Blowout and the Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment. The first infuses keratin into the hair cuticle to reduce frizz and flyways for up to six weeks, and the second does the same for up to five months! I opted for the first because I was just testing the waters, but next time I'm booking the latter for sure. Can't make it to the salon, check out the wide range of Keratin Complex products here.
