Backstage at NYFW: Kérastase for Libertine
Yesterday, at the ultra cool Café Rouge in Hotel Pennsylvania, I was able to talk inspiration and future trends with hair stylist extraordinaire Akemi Tamaribuchi for Kérastase. She talked a little bit about the chic, messy locks, and explained how it brings a bit of street appeal to the edgy, yet glamorous Libertine look.
“The look is very glamorous, yet lived in. We’re going for a lot of texture, and we want her to feel a little bit dirty, but still fabulous. To create the look, we’re lightly wrapping large, casual sections of hair around a 1-¼ inch iron. I would say this is the trend for fall.“
