Among her many titles (singer, actress, beauty chameleon, swimsuit style star), Kelly Rowland has added another bullet point on her ever-growing celeb resume: perfume front-woman.

After releasing her new album, Here I Am, last month, Rowland is now making the rounds as the face of Sean Jean's new scent, Empress. Inspired by her beauty cred, we caught up with the jet-setting songbird to get the scoop on how she manages to make so many pitch-perfect hair and makeup choices.

RB: What products do you always pack when traveling?

KR: I don't leave home without my Smith's Rosebud Salve to hydrate my lips, and Clinique All About Eyes De-Puffing Serum to massage away under-eye circles.

RB: What's the best hair trick you've learned from touring?

KR: Moisturize! Traveling isn't just hard on your skin, it's hard on your hair, too. I condition regularly.

RB: How have you had to change your skin-care routine since you've been a judge on the UK's X Factor?

KR: Moisturizing again! I have to fly back and forth and switch climates regularly, so I prioritize hydration and found that that's the secret weapon to keeping my skin looking camera-ready.

RB: And lastly, as a trend-setting beauty icon, what advice do you have for women looking to drastically change their hair look?

KR: Try it with a wig first! Wigs are the easiest, fastest ways to find out if a hairdo will work on your face frame.
