Katy Perry has many talents. She can sing, dance, pull of just about every candy-themed outfit, and she isn't afraid to totally be herself. Oh, and she's a full-on fashion chameleon, as evidenced by her recent photo shoot with Elle magazine.

The September cover girl switched up her look entirely in an array of dresses from designers like Etro, YSL, and Bottega Veneta, and even admitted that she "can't be the candy queen forever." Still, Perry couldn't completely ignore her playful preferences. In one shot, she's sporting a bright purple wig with some very blunt bangs, along with a glimmering pink body-con frock. Not to mention, the pop megastar changed up her nail design for each look, and she munched on jelly beans between takes while jamming out to Kanye West's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy."

What's more, Elle.com released this exclusive video on their Facebook Page. Set to her latest hit, "Wide Awake," it features Perry in many different lights, from sexy, to silly, to just a little bit vulnerable.

Such versatility and openness are some of the reasons that fans find it so easy to connect with her. For those who see her as a role model, Perry understands that it's hardly an easy job. "I have no regrets...I'm not going to be everything to everyone. I can't tell a person when it's time for them to have sex. Or if they should have a cigarette...But I try to live my life with a lot of integrity, and, hopefully, that sends a message."
