Kate Middleton and Prince George are Adorable at Royal Christening
It's not often mother and son wear matching outfits, but it was cream colors, ruffles, and lace for both Kate Middleton and Prince George for the Royal Christening at St. James Place in London this morning. Kidding aside, the beaming Duchess looked gorgeous as usual in another Alexander McQueen number and Jane Taylor fascinator, while her baby boy donned a replica of the royal christening robe worn since 1841. Also following tradition, the little prince was baptized with water from the River Jordan in the historic Chapel Royal, says the DailyMail.
But breaking from the mold as they did with their first official baby photographs, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chose old college friends to be the godparents of the future King, along with just one royal. They also opted for a small intimate christening, not inviting most of their aunts, uncles, and cousins. We love this couples' approach to parenting and royalty, they seem to be able to uphold tradition but still add their own modern touch. Each move they make leaves us more impressed. We can't wait for Prince George's public appearance number three!
