Weekend Hair Idea: Kat Denning's Wild Child Curls
After staring at a sea of hair all week, by Friday there are few styles that give us goosebumps. But when we saw Kat Dennings textured curls at the LA premier of Thor, we immediately wanted to bust out our curling irons in our cubicle and get to work (while this may be frowned upon in other places of employment this is what beauty editors call "research"). Below, Suave Professionals celebrity stylist Jenny Cho shares how to get this look in four steps:
1. Apply mousse (she recommends Suave Professionals Captivating Curls Whipped Cream Mousse) on damp hair and layer an anti-frizz cream on top like L'Oreal Paris Vive Pro Glossy Style Smooth Gloss Anti-Frizz Cream to tame any frizz and flyways. Diffuse hair until completely dried.
2. Curl hair with a 1-inch and a 1 1/4-inch curling iron to create an uneven, natural-looking texture. Start by curling a one inch section of hair from the nape and be sure to spray each section with a flexible hairspray before curling each section for a long lasting hold. Tip: Curl each section in different directions for an uneven organic look.
3. Follow technique until entire head is curled. Then, flip hair over and spray with a dry shampoo like Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo to give hair lasting volume.
4. As a finishing touch, add a few stokes of Suave Professionals Vibrant Shine Spray for healthy waves.
