If Dancing with the Stars mania has you attempting to fox-trot around your living room, you're not alone. We've been jotting down tips and tricks for seasons now, hoping to work up the confidence to execute them somewhere other than in our bunny slippers in the privacy of our own home. Thankfully, former DWTS pro and sweetheart Julianne Hough shared some of her tips with us to on how to ooze confidence both on and off the dance floor. Read below to put some pep in your step and see how Hough gets dolled up for a night out with the girls.

RB: You're always glowing — what’s your secret?

JH: I think the big thing I always make sure to do is to always hydrate. I drink tons and tons of water, especially when I’m traveling. I'm also obsessed with the new Caress Whipped Soufflé Body Wash in Blackberry Cream. It smells ridiculously good and keeps me extra-moisturized.

RB: How do you get ready for a big night out?

JH: Music! I always have music playing and I like having my girlfriends over to get ready together.

RB: You can definitely strut your stuff on the dance floor. What is your top tip for someone who might not be so gifted when it comes to dancing?

JH: My top tip is to have confidence. Even if you don't know what you're doing, fake it. You could be doing the dorkiest move on the dance floor ever but if you have confidence and look like you're having fun people will believe you know what you're doing!

RB: What beauty trend is your favorite to wear out?

JH: I'm always about a smoky eye. I have blue eyes so I feel like it makes me stand out more. I'll pair that with a nude lip and bronzed cheeks.

RB: You just wrapped up filming Burlesque, which hits theaters November 2010. Did you take any beauty tips away from the set?

JH: Eyelashes, eyelashes, eyelashes! We wore the biggest eyelashes on set, for both top and bottom. I definitely realized how sexy a pair of long lashes are.
