NYFW Tips: How to Make Your Blowout Last

Every fashion week starts the same for me: with a trip to see my go-to hair guru, Lizzy Weinberg, at Pimps and Pinups in the Lower East Side. No matter how many hairstylists I visit as a beauty editor, this will never change. She's got the magic touch, and never fails to give me a fabulous style that ensures I have the confidence to dive into fashion week head (and hair!) first. See, look how happy I am! She also gave me some helpful tips to make sure my look lasts beyond Day 1:
Use a gentle mist of Kevin Murphy Fresh Hair dry shampoo to keep your look fresh. "It will add two more days to your blowout!"
"Your hair's own natural oils are better than anything you can buy," says Weinberg. "So apply just a small amount of serum to the middle of your hair and down to the tips to add shine the next day, but stay away from the root."
Sleep with a loose braid or bun to turn your look into the perfect second-day tousled style.
Bonus Tip: If you are doing your own at-home blowout, wash your hair twice with a clarifying shampoo. This will get rid of any product and natural build-up. Then apply conditioner, again, on just the middle and ends of your hair.
