Confession time: Sometimes when we see an absolutely ridiculous trend, we try to look the other way, in hopes it will gallop off into the sunset of beauty oblivion. But every now and then we get a fad so stuck in our head we have nightmares about it. Thus is the case with the latest in lips, polka dot lip tattoos.

Apprentice star Hope Dworaczyk first stepped on the red carpet with this temporary tattoos at Maxim's Hot 100 party. Where on earth did she get this decal from? Why would one do this to their lips? So many questions.

While the motive of wanting polka dot lips is unclear, we hunted down the source of this new tattoo trend. Violent Lips, specialists in all things glittery and pink to put on your pucker. The site says the temporary tattoos are safe for ages 3+, so if you want to decal your toddler, that's really on you. Dworaczyk is the first celeb we've seen with this trend, and hopefully the last to grace the red carpet (unless Lady Gaga starts wearing them, because then of course it's perfectly acceptable).
