Heidi Montag's Quest for Barbiedom

4/28/2010 3:19:00 PM by Colleen Moody

heidi montag

The last season of MTV's The Hills was on last night, with whispers of drug problems and drinking issues and DUIs – oh my! I enjoy a good catfight and silent staring contest as much as the next person but what was probably the most anticipated scene of the show was seeing the very new, somewhat plastic Heidi Montag.

Sure, we've seen tons of pictures of Heidi after her plastic surgery, which included ten surgeries in total from pinning her ears back to DDD breast implants (she wanted bigger ones, they just wouldn't fit. Hate when that happens.) to lipo, to name just a few. But seeing it in live motion is was a whole different scenario. Though live motion isn't really what we got. As Heidi sat on the couch talking to her mother, we couldn't help but agree with Darlene. She was just so...frozen. Even when she started crying, it looked not only painful but also a little terrifying to watch. It was like watching a baby duckling struggling to get out of an egg. You want to help it, but the shell is just too tough for them to break out of. The shell in this scenario sadly, is Heidi's new face.

If nothing else, Heidi's upgraded features have probably caused many people to second guess going under the knife for cosmetic surgery. If you want to tighten and tone your features naturally, try one of these products.

Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum: This magic potion firms the skin under your eyes to make them visibly brighter.

Clarisonic Skincare Brush: A deep-cleaning electronic brush that will make your pores smaller and have you glowing all day.

Estée Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lifting Créme: Cream that tightens, firms, and lifts, keeping your skin looking younger longer.

No, none of these products will have the same effects plastic surgery would, but aging is a natural process, and something that is beautiful in its own way, not something to run away from. As Darlene told Heidi last night, "Why would you want to look like Barbie?" We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
