Sweaty Summer Style: The Equestrian Ponytail

It only takes one summer in New York City to realize from Memorial Day weekend through September, your hair will be in a ponytail for the majority of summer. Aside from figuring out how to stop everything from your earlobes from sweating, finding a ponytail that's chic instead of looking like you just left the gym is another challenge.
That's why we're loving this equestrian-inspired ponytail from Paul Cucinello, creative director at Chris Chase Salon in NYC. It's fast, easy, and even helps if you start with a sweaty head to slick your hair back!
To start, part hair on the far left or right side and run a fine tooth comb in an upward diagonal motion a few inches above your ear. Divide your hair based on your part and set with a hair spray like ECRU New York Sunlight Finishing Spray MAX. Pull hair into a low ponytail and secure, being mindful of your part. You can also give yourself a subtle part that's just off center, like Lauren Conrad, left.
