Feed Crystal Renn?
A fun tidbit this Monday: One of the most successful models in the industry is a size 12. Crystal Renn, the model who has graced countless magazine covers and tracked her story from a raging eating disorder to a happy, healthy plus-size model in her book Hungry, is now stirring up some controversy among her fans over dropped weight.
Renn was seen walking in a Chanel fashion show earlier this month looking significantly slimmer, and some worry that the industry's heavy dominance of the mantra "thin is in" is causing the model to lose her curves. Though on the runway her weight looks very healthy and much curvier than most other models, her latest campaign posted on fordmodelsblog.com shows a much thinner Renn. This picture caused bloggers and Renn fans to start declaring "Feed Crystal Renn" on their blogs and other sites.
Renn's agent said the weight fluctuation is nothing to raise an eyebrow over. He told People in May that she changes between a size 10 to 14 often, especially when she is more active in the summer hiking and traveling.
What do you think about Renn's weight loss? Is it nothing to worry about, or is the fashion industry to blame for her shrinking waistline?
