The Secret About Models We Discovered at Fashion Week

Fashion Week may be over, but as we were sorting through our dozens of pictures, interviews, and icing our poor feet, we stumbled across this photo of the highly debated Crystal Renn walking in the Gottex show.
Renn was criticized earlier this year for a controversial campaign that made her look like she was a size 0 over the size 12 she really is. Her fame comes from being one of the most successful plus-sized models in the fashion industry, but what we saw was a gorgeous, normal, healthy and definitely skinny girl walking the catwalk.
Another thing we spotted on not just Renn but several of the models cellulite. That's right, you can be as thin as a rail but sadly, cellulite does not care if you are ten pounds overweight, or 30 pounds underweight. In fact, studies have proven that just about 90 percent of women have cellulite.
It was this image that we finally stopped feeling bad about ourselves at the tents and comparing our bodies to the overly skinny models that sauntered down those runways. Instead, we looked at Renn, saw her cellulite and thought, "she looks great." Julia Roberts said it best in a recent interview promoting Eat, Pray, Love when she said, "Men dont care what a woman looks like naked. It's more about, 'There's a naked woman here with me.' And anyway, that's what dimmer switches were made for!" We couldn't agree more.
What do you think of Crystal Renn? Should she classify as plus-sized, or should we nix that term all together when it comes to models?
