Cojo's Summer Fashion Tips for Covering Up in Style

Chatting with style correspondent Steven "Cojo" Cojocaru is like having your best friend in the dressing room with you - he gives it to you straight and isn't going to sugarcoat how you look. That's why when it came to the topic of picking a beach cover-up for summer, we went straight to the newly dubbed T.J. Maxx spokesperson to get the scoop on what we should be wearing this season. Check out his tips below:
On the trends: Fashion is having an optimistic moment (finally!) There are a ton of bright yellows, blues, and more gracing racks now. Embrace color and have fun with your cover-up!
On styles to look for: Cover-ups and fashion in general are taking a trip back to the '70s. Peasant blouses, tunics with embellishments, and maxi dresses are all back and perfect for throwing on over a bikini. What's even better, they can easily go from beach to cocktails (because clearly these two things go hand in hand).
An easy trick to hide your thighs: Buy yourself a big, woven beach bag. This can be used beyond the beach too, just make sure you don't buy one with a huge banana or dolphin on it to make it versatile.
Kate Middleton is everywhere: The Royal Wedding might be over, but everyone is still inspired by the British. Cojo says you don't need a fascinator for some fun in the sun, but big, wide brimmed hats are a must.
Beach style is more refined this year: Those sheer, Kardashian-esque sarongs you saw all over the place last year won't be popping up as frequently this season. The new style is a little more refined (perfect for those of us who don't want to walk around half naked by the sea), and more classic, covered looks are the norm for the season.
