In a month dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness, Lancôme is also shedding light on a different kind of cancer. Treatment and research of pediatric cancers require an immense amount of funding. In support of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a center devoted to childhood cancers and disease, Lancôme is on a mission to spread the beauty of giving.

While there are many events and issues that tug on my heart strings, this one is particularly near and dear to me because I fought through a terminal childhood disease and know just how hard it can be. So it pleases me so much that in its third year of participation, Lancôme is hosting a national celebration of wellness day this Friday, October 19th. Dubbed Génifque Day, for every in-store or online purchase from the Génifque line, Lancôme will donate $7 to St. Jude's and their life saving treatments for children.

Génifque Day encourages us to come together and look at the larger picture of support and generosity. Treat yourself to new goodies, and feel good knowing that this little splurge is going towards a great cause.
