Get Carla Gugino's Piecey Updo in 6 Steps

If we discussed every hair look we loved at the 2011 Golden Globes, we'd have to rename the site from Real Beauty to Real Obsessed with the Red Carpet. But even though we're almost a week past the show, some styles simply cannot be left behind. As is the case with Entourage's Carla Gugino, who pulled off this textured, piecey updo flawlessly. Celebrity stylist Oscar Blandi styled Gugino's hair for the show and tells us how to get the look in just six steps below.
-Prep damp hair with Oscar Blandi Proteine di Jasmine Protein Mist for Restyling Hair from roots to ends.
-Apply Oscar Blandi Volumizing Spray from mid-length to ends to create a foundation for natural looking waves.
-Diffuse hair with low to medium heat until hair is dry.
-Curl 1" square sections with a curling iron throughout the head. Wrap sections around your finger and create an invisible roller, secure the base of each curl with a roller clip. Front sections should flow working from the left ear over to the right ear.
-Remove clips after hair has cooled. Apply a dime size of Oscar Blandi Pronto Gloss and softly pull sections towards the back of the head and secure with bobby pins. Leave the top looser for more height. Pull sections on the sides back closer to the head and sections from the bottom up. No pattern necessary here, the messier the better.
-Finish entire look with Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray for volume and hold.
What do you think about Gugino's updo? Is it a look you'd be willing to try or do you think it's too much? Sound off in the comments below.
