Burt's Bees Creates Buzz for Earth Day
What it is: Burt's Bees celebrates Earth Day 2010 and takes to the streets of New York City.
Why we love it: On April 22nd, Burt's Bees will be holding events in New York City in honor of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Co-Founder Burt Shavitz has been bringing his love and respect for the natural world into Burt's Bees for over 25 years, and now he wants New Yorkers to "Find Their Burt" and get friendly with Mother Earth.
Starting at 9 a.m., a swarm of Burt look-alikes will be in Central Park handing out samples and signature "Burt" beards and hats. The colony will move to Times Square at 11:30 a.m., where the Burts will be making free smoothies on pedal-powered Bike Blenders for the public until 2 p.m. The smoothies feature natural ingredients like milk, honey, pomegranate, and cranberry, which happen to be staples in Burt's Bees Products! The team will be hanging out in Times Square until 3 p.m., handing out samples along with the "Burts about Town" gear.
Not in the New York area? You can still find your inner Burt at findyourburt.com!
Where to get it: All over New York City on April 22nd and on findyourburt.com.
How much: Like Jenny from the Block once said, your love doesn't have to cost a thing.
