Teen Choice Awards: We're Obsessed with the Playful Prints
It was all about whimsy at last night's Teen Choice Awards, with celebs stepping out on the blue carpet in playful prints and experimental shapes. What a better night to have a little fun with fashion, right? Channeling that youthful teen spirit, there were stars of all ages that caught our eye, but these ladies got the top three style slots.
Our favorite fashion darling Hailee Steinfeld never ceases to impress us with her sartorial choicesalways managing to push the envelope in something pleasantly surprising, while looking poised and age-appropriate. This blue and red House of Holland dress fits the formula: unique, flattering, and fun.
Girl of the moment, Lily Collins, also goes for something experimental in a palm tree print Fausto Puglisi high-low number. We haven't always been the biggest fans of the 'mullet dress,' but this take on the questionable trend has us second guessing our earlier judgements. We love all the contrast, from the blue and pink patterns, to the juxtaposition of the elegant train and t-shirt shaped top.
Miss Scandal star extraordinaire, Kerry Washington, continues with the quirk factor in a flirty Stella McCartney and bold red lips to match, literally. Not only were we obsessed with her dress, we loved her makeup so much we had to ask her makeup artist to show us how to re-create it at home.
How do you feel about these playful prints?
