The Beauty Benefits of Smooching

I take celebrity breakups VERY seriously. Basically, when my favorite couples split I am getting dumped right along with them. It doesn't go over well in my apartment. When my roommate walks in and I have a box of tissues and E! is on, she knows nothing good can come of it.
Needless to say my little heart has had a rough week! First, the saga of Sandra Bullock and Jesse James and now there are whispers of Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush splitting up yet again. A girl just can't win.
Kim and Sandra are both gorgeous, but could it be because they have mastered the art of smooching? Chatting with kissing expert Andréa Demirjian, I am led to believe yes! Demirjian spilled the secrets on kissing and believe it or not, there are a ton of health and beauty benefits to a good makeout session! Check some out below:
Kissing revs your metabolism. Depending on the intensity of the passion, kissing can burn up to two to six calories a minute (as compared to 11 calories on a treadmill).
It boosts your immune system. Kissing stimulates oxytocin and other body chemicals that help fight disease and get "good for you" bacteria that helps out your immune system.
It eases pain. Gentle smooching releases the feel good chemicals in the brain that help relieve tension and lower blood pressure.
Kissing gives you better skin. Scientific tests have also shown that kissing can help reduce skin problems.
It improves your smile. Kissing is a great way to prevent cavities and tooth decay because the saliva washes away plaque.
It's a mini face-lift. Kissing requires the use of numerous jaw, cheek and underlying face muscles, making your face and neck more toned.
It doesn't stop at kissing! See how getting busy can make you beautiful too. So what are you waiting for? Grab that cute delivery guy by his shirt and give him a big wet one! It's in the name of beauty, after all.
