Backstage at Peter Som, Wella Professionals colorist Aura Friedman predicts daring hair colors for next spring. The models’ pastel extensions were inspired by the rich-girl-gone-bad, who adds colors to her hair on a whim, and lets them fade into pale dustiness.
"Women are becoming bolder, and their hair color is, too," she says. "Every look is going to be confident next spring." How strong, exactly? "Vermillion red-orange ombre hair that hits peak intensity at the tips." For those who aren’t so rainbow bright, don't fret. Friedman says natural girls can also benefit from the trend by applying super-rich all-over color. Think deep espresso, for brunettes.
