Backstage Report: Oscar de la Renta

The Inspiration: "It's all about Renaissance beauty," explains T3 hairstylist Orlando Pita. To achieve this, models rocked larger-than-life manes and fresh skin to play off of the collection's dazzling rainbow of gemstone tones.
Makeup:"This look focuses on luminous skin," explains Revlon makeup artist Gucci Westman. She used Revlon Age Defying Spa Face Illuminator in Pink Light to infuse faces with a dewy glow, and filled in brows to add a classical dimension to the eyes. For the lips, a blend of apricot and berry colors mimicked the effect of Botticelli-esque pouts.
Hair: To recreate this bold silhouette, braid hair around your head into dozens of tiny plaits. Then, run a flat iron over each section to "set" the crimp. When all braids have been heat-treated, take them out and brush strands for (lots of!) volume.
RB's Insider Tip: The beauty of this hair look lies in the contrast between the tamed center part above the forehead and the frizzy ends. To ensure that you get the same results, don't braid hair taut right up to your hairline. Instead, plait face-framing pieces two inches down the hair shaft. You can use a half-inch curling iron later to blend these pieces with the rest of your kinky mane.
