Alexander McQueen is Back Into Fragrance
Alexander McQueen is getting back into the beauty biz having just signed a fragrance deal with Procter & Gamble. The avant guarde British fashion house launched their first scent, Kingdom, in 2003, and their second, McQueen, in 2005, but both have since been discontinued. Now, with Sarah Burton at the helm, McQueen has announced plans for a third fragrance.
One of Kate Middleton's favorite designers, McQueen is known for its opulent yet structured styles and over-the-top imaginative couture, so there will definitely be a lot of elements to play with when creating the new scent. "The contrasting elements of [McQueen's] design approach: fragility and strength, tradition and modernity, fluidity and severity is incredibly rich territory for fragrance development," President of P&G Prestige, Joanne Crewes told WWD.
What do you think they should name it?
