What was your inspiration for Anne Hathaway's makeup look in the film?
"Everything associated with Valentine's Day love, red hearts, and red roses. So of course I wanted to do red lips on Anne, since they're sexy and romantic, perfect for a date."
What lip color did you use?
"My favorite combo is Laura Mercier Lip Stain in Scarlet and Hourglass Lipstick in Icon. To set the color and make it last, the trick is to blot your lips with a tissue. Then, while the tissue is still on your mouth, dust powder over your lips."
How did you get her skin to look so radiant?
"Before I applied her makeup, I prepped her face with RéVive Moisturizing Renewal Cream and a touch of La Prairie Cellular Treatment Rose Illusion Line Filler in the T-zone area as a primer. Then I used KohGenDo Aqua Foundation in PK-1, KohGenDO Moisture Concealer, and Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-2 to erase under-eye circles and any imperfections. For her natural glow I mixed Armani Sheer Blush in 2 and 5, then I set everything with MAC Blot Pressed Powder."
What is she wearing on her eyes?
"I kept Anne's big, beautiful eyes simple with sparkly Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow, black waterproof liner in the inner rims, and Fresh Supernova Mascara."
Is there a "superhero" product that you absolutely love?
"I love Kyra Panchenko RioBlush City Girl Firming Leg Shimmer, an amazing anti-cellulite treatment with just the right amount of color and sheen. And to carry my makeup kit to work and around movie sets, I created a line of amazing bags called NC Squared."
